The Kerry UNESCO Biosphere Reserve hosted an 'Introduction to the Kerry Biosphere Reserve' webinar on Monday 18th November. The webinar was predominantly aimed at the Advisory Council for the reserve, but was open to the general public. The webinar was well attended and well recieved.
The presentation was delivered by Biosphere Officer, Brendan Kirwan. Brendan's presentation provided detailed information on the inception of the Biosphere reserve, the significance of the designation, and ethos of the reserve. The aim of the webinar was to clarify the function of the reserve and to give an insight into the activities and initiatives that the reserve delivers annually. The webinar was recoreded and will be made available on the Biosphere's YouTube channel, we will share a link to the video when the video is uploaded. Alternatively, should enough interest be generated, a second webinar will be delivered.
