We are racing towards Monday 20th January and our Rainwater Planter workshop with expert Féidhlim Harty. We are looking forward to kicking off on Monday at 10am in the pleasant surroundings of the Garden Room in the decadent Killarney House. Places are being booked fast, and though limited, you can book your free ticket on the Kerry Biosphere's Eventbrite page here: https://www.eventbrite.ie/o/kerry-unesco-biosphere-reserve-34191586363

Our initiative is made possible from our funders Kerry County Council and the National Parks and Wildlife Service through the Local Biodiversity Action Fund. We are planning further rainwater planter related workshops later in the  Spring to showcase our initiative and will accompany the workshops with field visits to one of our 'host sites' where a Kerry Biosphere funded planter has been installed. We have admired the craftsmanship of the Killarney Men's Shed who have done a wonderful job designing and constructing our planters. The Kerry Biosphere team is very grateful to the Men's Shed for their guile and know-how throughout this initiative.
