We were delighted to team up with Kerry Library once again. The Biosphere Officer, Brendan, was delighted to present biodiversity themed talks at Castleisland, Killorglin, and Listowel Libraries. Kerry has a rich and vibrant diversity of life and here at the Kerry Biosphere we are keen to celebrate and promote this richness.

The Kerry Library initiative aims to provide participants with a background on the ethos and function of the Kerry Biosphere and the benefits of having a Biosphere in Kerry. We explore the biodiversity value in the locality of each library with many of the habitats and species occurring in the hinterland being important contributors to the intrinsic value of our Biosphere. As we progress into the summer months we embrace the changes in the ecological calendar and continue promote citizen science in the region.
