Our friends in Kerry County Council and Crainn CiarraI are hosting a fantastic two day event celebrating hedgerows and trees in Kerry. Taking place on Friday October 24th in Tralee Bay Wetlands and on Saturday October 25th in Local Roots Tree Nursery, Cromane, the event is awash with information and entertainment.

There will opportunities to plant a native tree and tour the Local Roots Tree Nursery in Cromane.  A bioblitz is also planned for the event which will add to learning opportunities and a spot of fun! The two day event is a great addition to Kerry's 2025 calendar and an important cog in promoting the intrinsic value of our hedgerows and treelines. Speakers include National Parks and Wildlife Service, Local Roots, Hometree, Irish Wildife Trust Kerry Branch and more. This is a free event and booking can be made on Kerry County Council - Biodiversity Office Eventbrite Page: Connecting Kerry's Wildlife: Trees and Hedges in the Kingdom.
